HEAD
Round large and massive with front and well proportioned to the rest of the body.

EARS
Small and located aside on the skull`s upper side.

EYES
Very big, round and expressive and far form each other.
Bright and full in colour depending by the coat colour ( Orange or brown or blue/odd just in white coat or green in Chincilla`s )

BODY
Cobby massive body without being fat.
Bones and muscles massive as well with wide chest.
The same for shoulders and flanks enlarged as well while abdominal area is reduced and rounded.
The neck is short and provided with strong muscles.

LEGS
In armony with the body and therefore short and massive.
Feet are small, rounded with short fingers and hairs in the between.

TAIL
short ( it shouldn`t exceed the shoulders ) massive and low with full coat.

COAT
rich and long as much as possible. Healthy and silky by touch, thick and bright enhanced around the neck and the chest.
Texture might variate depending the colours.

Bright coat.
In coat with more than one colours, they must be well defined.

In few words, a persian should look with a full coat with expressive round eyes.

Penalizing defects:

  • elonged head;
  • long noze as a Roman profile;
  • narrow muzzle;
  • underbite ( over 2 mm.);
  • asimmetrie between upper and lower jaw.

Narrow and tubular body, long legs, tail too long.
Oval shaped feet and/or separated fingers. Low muscolar strenght and tone.
Small and inwarded eyes oriental type shaped, kept closed and with pale in colour.
Coat too short and lacking richness.

 

At the show, the cat`s judgement is expressed by assigning points:

30 points- Head shape, noze and ears allocations and so on....
20 points- Body structure, tail`s lenght and so on....
15 points- Eyes colour and their dept in tone.
30 points- Coat lenght and texture.
05 points- Look and general hygiene and appearing health.

Achievable titles of a show cat

Cats can be shown from 3 months old on although they can achieve title only over 10 months of age.
They can attend evaluation as kittens in two different categories ( untill 3 months and untill 10 months ) during any cat show.
When they are adult and therefore over 10 months, they can achieve titles as Champion ( Ch ) International Champion ( Ch I ) Gran International Champion ( Gr Ch I ) European Champiom (Eur. Ch ) or even World Champion ( W Ch)
Given that cats may attend shows also if neutered they can achieve the same comparizable titles.
The term Champion is then replaced by Premior.
